June 9, 2011-Skunk-Squirrel-Hawthorne Bush-Cardinal

One of the almost white skunks. There are lots! They squabble with each other all the time. They are the ones that were babies last year. Sibling rivalry. Ha!

A squirrel climbing up the tree in the late evening as the sun was going down.

This bush is all in bloom. I think it's a Hawthorne Bush but not sure. There are little red berries on it in the fall and all winter.

One of the young chipmunks.

A male cardinal in the late evening.

Yikes! That must have been terrible when the skunk sprayed your tent.
Thanks Rain. You have a great day also!

There is nothing as beautiful and regal as the red cardinal ... I bet the female wasn't far away!

I do love how that naughty Ermine peeps out at me from the top of your sidebar every time I come over Ginny ;)

Lovely photos here again. Those Skunks always look so odd to me, that one almost looks like someone has dropped a fur collar on the ground. I doubt anyone would want that round their neck though :)

The Cardinal is such a pretty and colourful bird.

Big Hugs!

I love your mostly white skunks. The extra white seems to give them extra personality.
