Foxes-Birds, Squirrels-May 26th-2011

This squirrel is trying to get my attention any way he can. I don't often get many aggressive ones. But he is one. This grasshopper was on the window also. I don't see them often because I'm not outdoors. I think they are neat.

This Bluejay was hot. He had to keep his mouth open a lot to get cooled.

Young Squirrels

A Tufted Titmouse and a Starling who is also hot and keeping his mouth open. I wish they'd go somewhere else. They are so noisy now with their babies following them around and crying for food all the time.

The female fox. She's looking off towards the neighbor's property as a Bluejay watches from the rock wall.

This crow was funny. He was trying to sneak over to get one of the fox treats but a squirrel was in his way. He never did get it at that time. The crows always take the fox treats. I love how they walk sideways when trying to sneak up on something. Very smart birds!

May 25, 2011-Fox Gets Squirrel-Weasel Gets Chippy

The male fox early in the morning.

He catches one of the adult squirrels and heads off into the woods with it. Probably to bring the catch to the pups.

The female

Chipmunks enjoying the afternoon sun. But not for long.

The weasel was out there running through the rock wall and out he came with a chipmunk. Carried it off under the bush. Couldn't see where he went. Poor little chipmunk. I like them and I do feel sad when they get killed.

The weasel was back in a short time looking for more critters in the wall. These pictures are blurry and not good because I lifted them off the video I took. I never did get any still pictures.

Baby Chipmunk-Squirrel-Chipmunk Mates-May 23, 2011

This is the first baby chipmunk I've seen so far. I don't think there will be many because of that weasel hanging around. I haven't seen the weasel but I know he's out there somewhere.

These little guys don't know enough to run away from danger yet. Especially when they first leave their mothers. I did see the mother chase him back to the safety of the rock wall though.

These two looked as if they were ready to mate. Maybe they are just mates. Never see too many together like that.

Baby Squirrels on their own now.

May 21st Photos-2011-Grandma Fox-Chipmunk-Daddy Fox

This is Grandma. She's been around for a few years and will come when I call her. By that I mean if she is at the top of the wall I will tell her to come down so the others won't happen to come and get in her way. She has the prettiest face of all the foxes. That's why they are all handsome and pretty i think..LOL

A chipmunk sitting on top of the rock wall, eating a nut. And the male fox looking for some treats.

The Lilac Bushes. In full bloom now. They won't last long. But they sure smell nice when they are out.

May 19h-20th-Foxes-Birds-Squirrels

This crazy squirrel was burying a rock on the back hill. I never could figure out why they take the stones here and bury them. Guess they think it's a nut.

The Starling has lost it's spots on it's belly area. The spots are there when they are in non-breeding season they say.

A BlueJay sitting on the Lilac Bush

This is the male fox that doesn't come too close. He's a very handsome fella! He sure looks like the small pup that was here two years ago. I had a close up of it's face. He was so cute and that photo is my favorite to this day. I'll have to find it and put it next to this one to see how close they look to each other. Do you all think they look like the same fox?

The female fox

The Lilacs that are blooming here. At least I get to see some flowers from my window for a short time.

That one squirrel was on the watch for something and the old fat mother squirrel was sitting on that branch watching the foxes.

May 18, 2011-Fox-Crow-Squirrels-Skunk

One of the pair of crows that hang around. I like crows. They are very smart birds.

A mother squirrel and below a squirrel doesn't mind the skunk being there. But I'd be careful of that particular skunk if I was that squirrel. he sprays a lot. For no reason sometimes.

Birds-Fox-Chipmunk-May 17, 2011

The Baltimore Oriole

I still can't figure out what that brown colored bird is. It's as big as a Robin with a stripe on the side of it's head and spotted belly.

The chipmunk hiding in the bush. And doing acrobats..Ha! Ha! Look how he straddles those branches.

The female fox and her taking a treat back to the pups somewhere deep in the woods. I can just about hear them when she gets near. Hope to see them soon.

Here's that unknown bird again.

More Photos From May 16th-Cardinal-Lilacs-Deer

These Lilacs are starting to burst open.

One of the young deer were out on the back hill. It was almost dark but managed to get one good shot. Got some video also. That's on Youtube.
