Wild Birds In Winter-Jan. 2nd

It was a very cold, blustery day here. Lots of birds around today. The Hawk must have been elsewhere.

Seems like those birds are having a lot of fun out there. Winter has never changed them.

No matter what the weather our wild life love it they survive through it all. we think poor little things,
Its only us humans that complain about the weather and whats dealt to us.

I know that snow can't be much fun,but it sure makes for pretty pictures.

I am amazed at what these animals can endure.

Happy New Year Ginny!!!

They fluff up their feathers, make extra trips to the feeders and keep on. Meanwhile, the hawk is vigilant at the feeder watching for his own meal.

I hope your year is off to a good start, Ginny. I'm thinking of you.

Loved these~ I soooo want your Cardinals in my yard!!
I saw one again this week but only ONE time and it stayed approximately 14.3 seconds and flew away. Just the male. But at least we know they are still here...somewhere! :-{

You get a good variety of birds there. I hope I get to see some like them now too. If I don't, I'm still glad I get to look at your pictures. They make up for it, and then some.
