Last Of August Collages-2010

This same Chipmunk is always standing so still it seems. Just listening.

There are way too many House Sparrows around here. But I like listening to them also.

This is a young Grackle. He doesn't have his shiny bluish head yet.

This squirrel is taking it easy on this hot day. It's been close to 90 degrees and going over that Wednesday. I keep water out there for them all.

Female Cardinal

Look at all the skunks I have around here!! Yikes!! And they sure are fat!!

This little mouse was clinging to the side of the building. He gets inside too. I hear them in the walls at times. I also smelled a dead one recently in my wall. Yuck!! And that is a slug on the rock.
Can't believe it's September already!! But I love the fall. It's my favorite time of the year.

Ginny,
I loved these, but especially the squirrels at ease. Every time I try to photograph mine knocked out by the heat, they change positions!

Thanks for the enjoyable photos and stories about the animals.

Great photos as usual! Hey...what are you feeding those skunks? They are chubby and so cute!

You always have some of the best pictures. I love the way those squirrels lay. I saw them do that for the very first time right here. And I have now had the pleasure of being able to see a few do that when I am out taking my own pictures. I watch for them to do it now.

A parrot has escaped from the bird park next to my jogging trail yesterday evening.

Watch up! It may land at your backyard.

Lovely collages again Ginny!

Those Skunks do make me smile, we have nothing remotely like them here. I love the little mouse at the end too :)

I do hope you are feeling a little better than you have been the past few days and that the heat will ease off. It is quite autumnal here but sunny and warm today...Hugs.
