September 8th-9th-2012-Hawk-Deer-Fox

 I have no idea what kind of spider this is but it was trying to rebuild it's web after a rain storm. It's about an inch around when it's legs are out. I have been killing simular ones that are inside. Yikes! Some kind of Weaver or Tunnel Spider maybe?

September 1st-6th Photos-2012-Foxes-Hawk-Birds

 This is a male yearling that I don't see very often. He's very timid. He used to have a mate but I haven't seen her in a very long time.

 A young male Cardinal looks pretty ratty right now till all it's feathers are in.

 I like this squirrel's ears..ha!

 The daddy gray fox and his son. They sure look and act alike...  so cute!

 I spotted this Cooper's Hawk lying down on the other side of that bush. I have never seen a hawk do that before. He stayed that way for a long time, which made me think he might have hurt himself. Later he got up into that bush  and I watched but when i turned away he was gone. Not sure if he flew or was on the ground out of my sight. The squirrels were still acting like he was on the ground. I just hope he was okay and flew away.

 He was acting like he was sunning himself. I've seen other birds do that but never a hawk. Maybe cooling off? Has anyone seen a hawk do this before? I even opened the window to try and scare him off but he didn't move.

He seemed to walk okay and he did spread his wings a couple of times. Missed those shots though. Got some video of him also.

 I feel bad for this little guy. He has at least three bot fly larvae in him.

 Has anyone ever seen squirrels carrying off rocks? The ones around here do it all the time. In fact all the landscaping rocks have disappeared over the past 16 years.. I thought they were using them in their dreys but I'm not sure.

August 25, 2012-Fawns-Gray Fox Pup-Dad Fox In Fog

 Yep! I'm taking her picture as she's peeing..LOL

 This little pup is always alone. I never see any siblings. I thought there was another one but never see it.

 The squirrels were watching the pup and two of them ended up jumping right down there near him. He just looked at them..

These two were coming a bit too close so I had to open the window and get them back up behind that wall. If they ever get too far in they might get spooked and run the wrong way, which is a dead end and the only way out is up over the wall. They could break a leg or get their hooves caught in that fencing.

August 21st-2012-Catching Up Till Thru 20th

Look what's back! I am not going to do anything about it. Let it live like the other critters and hopefully a hawk will catch it someday before I have lots.
