February 15, 2012 -Birds-Squirrels-Chipmunks

This red squirrel is alive and well and coming just about every day. I watched her go home tonight and she goes into the back woods like all the gray squirrels.

I have a new bunch of Starlings. I don't like them because theye at all the food too fast. But they are fun to watch also.

Love these Black capped Chickadees. This one finally sat still long enough for me to get a photo.

This Tufted Titmouse was busy opening a seed and eating it.

This woodpecker was too far away to get any clear photos.

Lots of these House Sparrows around.

I've got two chipmunks out here now. This is the little female. There's a male after her. If she likes him enough then they will mate and have babies this spring.

Right now the chipmunks are in the chasing stage..Ha!

She's got a seed stuck to her mouth.

The male and female cardinals are still alive and well. Sure glad they escape the hawks. But this is the only pair I have out there.

Those chipmunks are so sweet. You have a nice variety and hopefully the hawks will find somewhere else to hunt.

The colour of the male Cardinals stuns me however many times I see them, Ginny.

Those little Chipmunks really are sweet and I'm so glad the Red Squirrel is doing well :-)

Great pictures. I especially love the action shots of the chipmunks.

Well take a few of those chipmonks since we don't have them on the eastern shore ... would give Julep and Derby something different to bark at!

Have a good week,
Katie
