This was the moon on the 19th.
He always wakes me up in the wee hours of the morning. Last night it was 2 am. He and his skunk friend were out there. The raccoon was right up on my window. When I shine the flashlight at him, he gets down and waits for me to give him some nuts. Partners in crime, these two. Ha! The skunk looks like that because he got scared for a second when I opened the window. He never sprays though. He's a friendly one.

OMG...you have trained the raccoon to come to your window to ask for food...that is too funny!
That is so cute! I love racoons...
I really didn't train him Joan. He just started climbing up there. Made me nervous at first. Thought he'd start chewing the siding but he hasn't yet. I know by feeding him he will always come back. I really shouldn't but I can't resist those eyes..Ha! Ha! Sure am glad the skunks can't get up there. Yikes! They are close enough. But one year I was talking to four young ones and they all came over to the side of the building under my window and stood up with their paws on the building and they were talking to me! They squeak when they talk. It was back before I had a digital camera. I never got a photo of that but I had a little mini recorder and had taped their sounds. So cute.
Pat. I have never had raccoons around here too much till now. They are cute.

Ginny, spray some to your blog. I would like to experience that.
Sooo sweet, Ginny! What a cheeky chappie to wake you for food in the middle of the night. I think he is saying 'Gi'me the nuts or I'll send the Skunk in!' :)
i love your blog so much, i'm such an animal lover and adore your pics and stories...
Rain. If I could do that I would. Just for you. But then no one would stop by my blog..Ha! Ha!
Jan. I don't know what it is about those two. That little skunk must follow that Raccoon around. he's always out there with him, no matter what time it is..Ha!
Thanks BJ. Glad you enjoy my critters. Thanks for the comments everyone!
Ginny - those 2 are lucky to have you as a friend! And how funny that the skunk and Raccoon hang out together! Adorable!
Wow! I did not think they would come to your house at night!
I love the way the animals see you asa friend, or at least someone who will share food with them. I guess that's the same.
