June 6th And 7th-Fox Mom-Birds-Critters

I spotted a helicopter in the sky so had to take a photo of it. A pretty juvenile looking Black capped Chickadee. Finally got a picture of one of the Goldfinches. Had to take it from inside my car because they always fly off when I get out. So I took my camera out with me the other day hoping to catch them. Someday I'll get the rest of them. The white flowers on that bush look pretty and there was a storm brewing in the sky in the last photo.

Chipmunk. I love these little guys.

June 5, 2010 Fox And Woodchuck

These are the two Raccoons fighting the other night. I didn't get a very good shot at them. I opened the window and yelled at them to knock it off. They went screaming at each other all the way back to the woods. What a racket. They were really fighting too! I think the male was trying to get at the female and she wanted no part of it.

I put this single shot of the chipmunk peeking through the squirrel's tail so maybe you could see it better when you clicked on it to enlarge.

This is the older female fox and the woodchuck didn't seem to mind her being there. But of course she didn't have her baby with her. I still have not seen it again.

This is one of the younger females. She's the one that always waits till the older one has gone before coming down to get her nuts. I think she might have young ones also.

June 4, 2010-Birds And Critters

Black-Capped Chickadee on the seed bell that hangs on my bedroom window. A Black Crow on a branch and in flight as he flew off. A pretty BlueJay and a juvenile Starling.

Can you see the Chipmunk peeking through the young squirrel's tail? Ha!

Chipmunks. A Gray Fox. That one was one of the pups last year. Quite a few of those pups still come around. A young squirrel and the Woodchuck without her baby. Haven't seen the baby again since it ran from the fox the other day.

June 3, 2010-Woody Has A Baby!-Video

My woodchuck turns out to be a female. She brought her baby down with her today but the fox was out there at the same time. She had to scold her baby to get out of there. Then she chased the fox away but the baby ran back up to the hill I guess. I never could find it. I got so nervous that I didn't get the video of the woodchuck chasing the fox. All I got was my window sill so I had to cut that part out.. I hope I see the baby again. It sure is a rough world out there for babies.

June 2, 2010 Collages

I finally got some photos of the female cardinal with her mate.

Some of critters. And see that strange looking bug? Don't know what that is but I liked it.

That bush is pretty. Later there will be these little red berries on it. The birds like them and eat them even during the winter. Not sure what kind of bush this is. Maybe a Hawthorne?
The older female fox is so comfortable that she will lie down outside my window like that and eat her treats.

One of the young Chipmunks roaming through the rock wall and being curious.

The skunks and Raccoon.

Too many skunks here every night but most behave themselves except for that one black one with his butt showing. He sprays all the time for no apparent reason. I think he's a nervous one or can't control his sprayer. The little stinker!

May 30th And 31st Collages-Fox-Woodchuck-Coon-Starlings

This is one of the yearlings that were born last year. I'm pretty sure it's the same one that I have put the insert of when he was 3 months old. So pretty!

The same one as above that was born last year.

I'm pretty sure this is the mom to that yearling.

The female Raccoon

Woody, the Woodchuck is coming down almost every day now.

This poor old female squirrel was being chased by that younger male. She was so tired out. She sure doesn't want any more kids.

The young Starlings enjoying some water and being fed by the parents.

The pretty female Raccoon.

Can't believe it's June already!
