This is another young woodchuck. I have two different young ones out here now. Where he is standing is where the hole is that they hide in.

This is the first young woodchuck that showed up. He seems to have gotten quite a wound on his side at one time. Good thing it healed up okay. I thought this was the only young one till I saw the other one today and he didn't have that scar on him. They are running to the top of the alley outside my window. There is a hole there that they are hiding in. I was wondering how they were disappearing so fast. Ha! The baby skunks use the same hole to hide in.

It's been real hot here for a few days and I can tell that the animals are feeling the heat also. I keep water out there for them. That dove looks like a juvenile. The female fox was exhausted and laid there for a while. That little skunk didn't seem to mind though. he was happy to find some food. Cute little guy.

I can see many holes down there. There must be animals in each of the hole.
Neat woodchucks. Today I saw a Yellow-bellied Marmot.
Hi Ginny
I've never seen a baby woodchuck before. So cute! As always, great pictures...
Something I noticed just the other day was that the ears of woodchucks look almost like human ears. It was the first time I ever got close enough to see that. Now I'm noticing it in your pictures too.
