Haven't been posting lately. I broke my wrist in another bad fall last Wed. night. It's so hard to take photos now but I managed these. I really have to use the tripod and it isn't good for much.
I have a new unwanted critter in my rock wall. Haven't gotten a picture of it yet but hope to. I just spotted it this morning. A RAT! I haven't seen one in a couple years and was hoping I never would but with all the food out there it was bound to happen again. The trouble with a rat is in the spring they will kill the chipmunks. In years past I managed to kill them by climbing out my window at night and placing poisoned peanut butter balls in their path. It always worked but now I can't climb out there any more so I guess I will have to stop feeding all the animals and birds. Maybe that is why all this is happening too. I can't throw the nuts out over the rock wall since I broke my wrist, so the foxes have to come down close if they want any. The deer don't need any. And I really shouldn't be feeding them anyway. It's the squirrels that will be the hardest to get rid of. They will chew on my windows if they don't get fed. But maybe I will just have to stop and see what happens. I won't be able to look at their faces begging me. It will be sad but it will be the best for all of us. Besides, I'm not going to be around that much longer so it will stop at that time. And if I end up in the hospital they won't get fed either. It has been fun for the past 13 years though.
By the way. Learning to use the mouse and type with my left hand, one fingered, has been a challenge also!
