October 13, 2010-Sunrise-Blue Sky-Birds-Foxes

The sun comes up through the woods out back. I like the way it throws shadows over the lawn.

I always feel sorry for the hawks when I see the crows chasing them. Sometimes they make an awful noise when the crows hit them.

The leaves won't be on the trees after this weekend. We are supposed to get lots of rain and heavy winds.

A female Cardinal under the bush. A Junco in the bush. A Bluejay gathering nuts off the ground and some kind of woodpecker on the tree. It doesn't have any red on it that I could see.

Saw five foxes out there this day!! These are two of the eight month old pups. That one is the cutest of the bunch.

The skunks and foxes never seem to mind each other. These two pups are coming down lately. It's nice to still be seeing them but hunting and trapping season starts October 15th and I will be worrying about them. I sure hope they survive.

October 5, 2010 A Few Collages Of The Critters

Haven't been taking too many pictures lately. It's been raining here for three days straight and I haven't been feeling that well. But I am still watching to see what is out there.

September 28, 2010-Pileated Woodpecker

Finally!! I got some good shots of this beautiful bird and some video. He actually stayed on that one tree for quite some time. Usually he flies away so fast that I never get any photos. So I was happy!

September 27, 2010-Foxes-Chipmunks

This is one of the daddy foxes. He still comes down every morning. He's a little wet from the dew.

I got a good night shot of the foxes tonight. Four of them were out there that I could see. So I guess they are still around. They just wait till after dark to come now, as they should. They were all out there nice and peacefully till some skunks showed up. Then they sort of moved and let the skunks eat their nuts.
